के तपाई अफ्नो computer मा भएका program हरुलाई माउसको 1-2 क्लिकमा या माउस बिनानै पनि keyboard का केही थोरै key हरुको प्रयोग गरेर shortcut way बाट खोल्न चाहनुहुन्छ? त्यसको लागी तपाईको computer मा भएको run command धेरै उपयोगी हुनेछ । हुन सक्छ तपाईलाई आफुले खोजेको program ठ्याक्कै कुन location मा छ भन्ने कुरा थाहा छैन, तर तपाईलाई उक्त program तत्काल खोल्नु परिरहेको छ । या हुन सक्छ कुनै program, computer को एकदमनै भित्री location मा छ । जहा सम्म पुग्नलाई तपाईले धेरै पटक माउसको प्रयोग गर्नुपर्ने हुन्छ जसले समय र मेहनत त खर्च हुन्छनै साथसाथै यो प्रक्रिया तपाईको लागी झन्झटिलो पनि भईरहेको हुन सक्छ । तर उपयोगी run command हरुको थोरै मात्र पनि जानकारी राख्नु भयो गने यो संपूर्ण प्रक्रिया तपाईको लागी एकदम सहज हुनेछ साथै यसले तपाईको समय पनि बचत गर्नेछ । तपाईले चाहनु भएको program माउस को 1-2 क्लिक या keyboard को केही key हरुको प्रयोग बाट मात्र पनि खोल्न सक्नुहुनेछ । run command shortcut चलाऊन अभ्यस्त भाई सकेपछी तपाईंलाई यो तरिका निकै सजिलो र छिटो भएको महसुस हुनेछ।

के तपाई Microsoft Excel प्रयोग गर्नुहुन्छ? यस Program मा काम गर्दा सायद तपाईलाई एउटा अति महत्वपुर्ण कुराको कमि महसुस हुन सक्छ । त्यो हो नम्बरलाई सब्दमा लेख्ने Formula. जस्तै 12,345,678.90 लाई तपाईले सब्दमा Twelve million Three hundred and Forty Five thousand Six hundred and Seventy Eight point Nine लेख्नुपर्यो भने Excel Program मा कसरी लेख्ने? Microsoft Excel मा यसको लागी तपाईले कुनै पनि Formula पाउनुहुनेछैन । तर चिन्ता नगर्नुहोस, आजबाट तपाईले यो समस्याको समाधान पाउनुहुनेछ । अब Excel मा तपाईले चाहेको नम्बरलाई Formula बाट अक्षरमा बदल्न सक्नुहुनेछ । यसको लागी तपाईले एउटा .xla File लाई Download गरेर तपाईको कम्प्युटरमा राख्नु पर्ने हुन्छ र सो File लाई Excel को 'add-ins' मा गएर active गर्नु पर्ने हुन्छ । त्यस पछि तपाई सजिलै यो Formula प्रयोग गर्ने सक्नु हुन्छ । यो सबैको लागी तपाईले तल दिएको सुझाब अनुसार गर्नुपर्ने हुन्छ ।

1. सर्बप्रथम तपाईले एउटा File Download गर्नुपर्ने हुन्छ । उक्त File Download गर्नेको लागी यहाँ क्लिक गर्नुहोस र सो File लाई तपाईको कम्प्युटरको Desktop मा Save गर्नुहोस । File Download भईसकेपछि उक्त File लाई Cut गर्नुहोस ।

2. अब Microsoft excel program खोल्नुहोस । Program खुलिसकेपछि सँगैको चित्रमा देखाए जस्तै बायाँ तिरको सबैभन्दा माथि तपाईले Office button देख्न सक्नुहुनेछ । सो button मा क्लिक गर्नुहोस, र त्यसपछि सबै भन्दा तल excel option भन्ने button मा क्लिक गर्नुहोस ।

Use Hibernate and Standby to Conserve Batteries

The Hibernate function in Windows XP Professional can make the batteries in your laptop computer last longer. Windows XP supports the industry standard power management technology known as the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), which enables the operating system to control power to your computer and peripheral devices. The power management features in Windows XP include Hibernate and Standby. Hibernate saves an image of your desktop with all open files and documents, and then it powers down your computer. When you turn on power, your files and documents are open on your desktop exactly as you left them. Standby reduces the power consumption of your computer by cutting power to hardware components you are not using. Standby can cut power to peripheral devices, your monitor, even your hard drive, but maintains power to your computer’s memory so you don’t lose your work.

Power Management Performance:

Windows XP wakes from Hibernate faster than any earlier version of Windows. So you can preserve your batteries without taking time to close all your files and shut down, and then restart and open all your files when you’re ready to work again. If you need to leave your computer, you can just leave it. Windows XP can automatically put your computer into Hibernate mode after a specified period of inactivity.

Use Offline Files When you’re off the Network

Offline Files in Windows XP Professional can help you be more productive. You can use this feature on a portable computer or on a desktop computer that occasionally connects to your workplace network. For example, this feature is useful if you are working at home on a desktop computer, and need to automatically get files off the network whenever you connect.

The files that you select are automatically downloaded from shared folders on the network and stored on your computer. When you disconnect, the files are available to use. When you reconnect to the network, your changes are added to the files on the network in a process called synchronization. If someone else on the network made changes to the same file, you can save your version, keep the other version, or save both.

To set up your computer to use offline files:

1. Open My Computer. (Click Start and then click My Computer.)

2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.

3. On the Offline Files tab, make sure that the Enable Offline Files check box is selected as shown below.

4. Select Synchronize all offline files before logging off to get a full synchronization. Leave it unselected for a quick synchronization. A full synchronization ensures that you have the most current version of every shared network file that you work with offline. A quick synchronization ensures that you have complete versions of your offline files, although they may not be the most current versions. You might select a quick synchronization if you are the only person working on a file or if you do not need the most current version of a file.

If you want to control which offline files are synchronized, when they are synchronized, and whether Windows prompts you before synchronizing your files, you can use Synchronization Manager.

To make a file or folder available to you offline:

After you set up your computer to use offline files, you need to make shared network files available to you offline.

1. Open My Computer. (Click Start, and then click My Computer.)

2. Double–click a network drives to view its contents. If My Computer does not contain links to any network drives, you need to assign a drive letter to a shared network resource.

3. Click the shared network file or folder that you want to make available offline.

4. On the File menu, click Make Available Offline. This option appears on the File menu only after you set up your computer to use offline files as described above.

5. To make a network file or folder unavailable offline, right–click the item, and click Make Available Offline again to clear the check mark.

To view a list of all of the shared network files those are available offline:

1. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.

2. On the Offline Files tab, click View Files.

Email Filter

Maybe there is so may emails in your mail box. Like your personal emails, office mails, friends mails and many more. Sometimes it is very difficult to find out the one which you need from these huge emails. Have you think about the mail filter that can filter each mails according to your need? This is possible. For example, you can create a folder named ‘office’ and if you adjust a little setting you will get all the email form your office in the ‘office’ folder. If you think this setting is useful to you follow the bellow steps:

1. Open the mail you need to adjust the filter setting.

2. Go to option > Go to filters > Click to add > now give the filter name (example: ‘office’)

3. Select ‘to new folder’ in the ‘move the message’ option. Give the name of new folder as ‘office’. 4. Save.

"Find and Run Robot" one very smart program

Find and Run Robot is a program for keyboard maniacs. It helps you rapidly find programs or documents from within the depths of the start menu (or other directories) . One key press launches the utility, and then just starts typing the first letters of the application you want to launch. As you type the best matches are shown, just hit the number to launch the associated program.

Small and swift, Find and Run Robot makes searching files and launching programs go faster than a Black Friday deal. Also known as FARR, the program is great for those who love options. If you're the indecisive type, you may want to stay clear.

Running in your system tray, FARR is innocuous and uses little RAM. Hit the Pause/Break key to bring up the launching window; as you type, FARR narrows down your choices. Change the text on Windows XP Start button. (English)

Do you want to change the text on the Start button in Windows XP as you can see from the screen capture above? If yes, you would have to try the procedure, follow the instructions and feel comfortable with the changes. 

Step 1 – Modify Explorer.exe File

In order to make the changes, the file explorer.exe located at C:\Windows needs to be edited. Since explorer.exe is a binary file it requires a special editor. To download the program click here. this program is able to view, modify, rename, add, delete and extract resources in 32bit Windows executables and resource files (*.res). It incorporates an internal resource script compiler and decompiler and works on Win95, Win98, WinME, WinNT, Win2000 and WinXP operating systems.

Difference among CV Resume and Bio Data: People use the words Resume, CV, and Bio-Data interchangeably for the document highlighting skills, education, and experience that a candidate submits when applying for a job. On the surface level, all the three mean the same. However, there are intricate differences.

Resume: It is a French word meaning "summary", and true to the word meaning, signifies a summary of one's employment, education, and other skills, used in applying for a new position. Fun!... Browser Shaking

This is a fun little trick that can create a shaking screen on your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, etc.) The trick is simply a small Java Script that causes your browser window to move to different positions, causing a shake of your entire screen. Notepad Secrets

 Create a log

Open Notepad, on the very first line, type in ".LOG" (without quotes) then press Enter for a new line. Now you can type in some text if you want, then save the file. Next time when you open the file, notice its contents. Notepad automatically adds a time/date log everytime you open the file.

Text becomes unreadable

Open Notepad. On the very first line, type in "dont eat the donut" (without quotes) then save and close the file. Note: the file should have only one line of the text above. Now, open the same file. You'll notice the text becomes unreadable squares. (try this with different text with the same format and length).

Paint Secrets

Create a trail image. Open Paint, then open an image. Right-click on the image and select "Select All". Now hold the "Shift" key and move the image around. The image will be drawn with trail.

10x Zoom

Open Paint, then open a small image. Select the zoom "Magnifier" tool.

Windows Paint lists out the zoom options from 1x to 8x, but there is a 10x. After selecting the Magnifier tool, point the mouse right at the border line right under "8x" and left-click. There you go.. the hidden 10x.

Double-click to open this key "ZB" to edit its value. Then enter "42" and close the Registry Editor. Start Hearts and Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F12 to show all the cards.

When you start to play a new game, the timer is ticking. Press Windows Key + D to show desktop. Now come back to the game by selecting it from the taskbar. The timer is stopped.
